Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
My aunts and uncles tell me of the treasures of their great aunt "Nana" Nelda Magnusson's pantry. Nana, as they were strictly required to call her, loved baking cookies. Her pantry contained large tin containers that were always filled with thick, delicious goodies. All kinds of cookie treats were available to them any time they visited Nana's house. Her snickerdoodle cookies were especially yummy. This recipe for sugar cookies was written out on a worn, torn, and stained sheet of faded green paper in Nana's own penmanship. Evidently, she adopted the recipe from a friend by the name of Houghton. The generation before me can attest that she put the recipe to good use.
