2 sticks melted butter - not margarine or shortening
1½ c. white sugar
¾ c. brown sugar
2 tsp. pure vanilla
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 beaten eggs, medium sized
2½ c. flour
1½ c. baking chips - your choice of flavors
2 c. chopped nuts - your choice

Directions:
Melt butter, pour into large bowl. Add both sugars & mix well. Add vanilla, baking soda, salt and mix well. Add eggs, stir well. Add HALF the flour, all the baking chips and all the nuts. Stir well. Add remaining flour and mix well.

Drop by teaspoon - not measuring teaspoon - onto greased or parchment lined cookie sheets. Put 12 per sheet...they spread!

Bake at 350º, 10-12 minutes. Makes approximately 5 dozen.

If you lack enough nuts for 2 cups or don't want nuts, fill in with crushed cereal, coconut, raisins or dried cranberries.
