1 cup margarine or shortening
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup molasses
2 tsp vanilla
4 1/2 cup all purpose flour
2 tsp ginger
2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cloves

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream together margarine, sugars, eggs and molasses. Add vanilla and blend well.
2. Sift together flour, ginger, salt, baking soda, cinnamon and cloves.
3. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture and mix well.
4. Chill dough for 1 1/2 - 2 hrs.
5. Form chilled dough into balls and place onto greased pan. Do not flatten.
6. Bake at 350F for 10 min. Ensure not to over bake.

Formed balls can be dipped in granulated sugar before baking.
