Ingredients:
Ingredients:
7 cups flour
7 tsp baking powder
1 T vanilla
1 pound oleo (old term I would use 1 pound of butter which would be 4 sticks)
1 pound of walnuts
enough milk (your guess is as good as mine!)
1 1/2 cups sugar to mix (??)

Directions:
Directions:
Chop nuts
Put flour, baking powder, nuts, and sugar together and mix
Make a hole in the center and put melted butter, eggs, vanilla and milk in hole.
Work it together a little at a time
Roll and flatten down a little and cut in little strips

*bake. When cooked ice with butter and powdered sugar and sprinkle with chopped nuts

*This recipe like many of the others in Grandma's book is void of proper instructions. I would cut dough into small strips and bake at 350 degrees until golden brown. Sounds like she meant to brush cookies with melted butter and sprinkle with nuts and powdered sugar
