1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons cream of tarter
1/2 teaspoon salt
8 oz. toffee bits

Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, beat well then, slowly add all dry ingredients (sifted together). Chill dough for 1 hour or more. Roll into balls and then into cinnamon and sugar mixture. Place 2" apart on parchment paper. Bake 375º for about 10 minutes. Set but not brown.
