2 1/4 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter or shortening
2 eggs
1 t. vanilla
1 t. baking soda
1 t. salt
12 oz. chocolate chips

Other items, nuts, coconut, M & M's optional

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugars and butter, cream. Add eggs, vanilla. Add flour, baking soda and salt while mixing. Sir in chocolate chips, nuts, coconut or M & M's as desired. Roll into wax paper and foil to be frozen into a log shape and used later. OR Put into a pan and bake as bars, or make cookies.
