1 9 ounce package None Such mince meat
1 cup boiling water
1 cup butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
3 1/4 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
Directions:
Directions:
Combine mince meat and water in a saucepan. Boil down until thick, will condense to 1/13 cup. Let cool.
Cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg and blend well. Mix and sift flour, salt and baking soda. Stir into egg mixture, blending thoroughly. Fold cooled mince meat into mixture. Drop by teaspoonful onto a buttered sheet a few inches apart and bake in a hot oven (400 degrees) about 8 minutes. Makes 3 dozen cookies.
