1-3/4 c. unsifted all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c. Light Brown Sugar (packed)
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. Creamy Peanut Butter
1 egg
2 T milk
1 tsp vanilla
48 Milk chocolate Kisses (unwrapped)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º.

Mix flour, soda, and salt.
Add remaining ingredients except the chocolate.
Mix at medium speed until well combined.
Chill dough approx 30 minutes.
Roll dough in 1 inch balls.
Drop on cookie sheet.

Bake at 375º for 12 minutes or until lightly brown.

Press candy in center immediately.
The cookie cracks around the edges.
