3/4 c. Crisco
1-1/2 c. sugar
8 tsp baking powder
8 eggs
1 tsp salt
8 c. flour

Icing:
1-1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. water
Food Coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Mix ingredients well and make into balls.
Bake 375º until getting golden.

Once cool. Make icing.

Mix the sugar and water on stove top until bubbly.
Add food coloring.
Add large amounts of cookies.
Make sure entire cookie is coated.

As a little girl, I remember Grandma DeBernardo mailing a box to us with these in them every year. Dad always like them plain so she always made some plain just for him. The coating on them will be very light and just to give them a little flavor.
