2 c all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 c (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1 c firmly packed brown sugar
1 c sugar
2 lg eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
1- 12 oz bag semisweet chocolate chips, preferably Valhona
2 c quick cooking oats (not instant)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º.
Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt onto wax paper and set aside.
Beat together butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla in a large bowl until well blended. Stir in flour mixture until well blended. Stir in oats and chocolate chips, blend.
Drop batter by rounded tablespoons, 2” apart, onto untreated cookie sheet.
Bake 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Transfer cookies to wire rack to cool.
