1 lb. butter (4 sticks)
2 1/4 c. flour
1 package white cake mix

Pre-heat oven to 375º

In small bowl, microwave 2 sticks of the butter on HIGH for 1 minute or until melted.
Using a paring knife, slice remaining butter into 1/2" pieces; add to melted butter and toss.
Allow butter to stand 3-5 minutes or until softened.

Add the flour to the cake mix and blend well.

With a wisk, whisk butter until smooth and free of lumps. Can add back to microwave (should be creamy, but not fully melted).

Mix butter with dry ingredients and mix until dough is smooth.

Shape dough, bake and decorate as desired (e.g. sprinkles).

Bake 12-13 minutes
