1 C. shortening
1½ C. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 t. salt
1 t. Baking soda
1 t. vanilla
2¼ C. All-purpose flour - enough so dough doesn't stick when touched
1 pkg chocolate chips.

Directions:
Directions:
Using an electric mixer, combine shortening, eggs, and brown sugar until creamy. Add salt, baking soda and vanilla. Stir in flour using a wooden spoon. Fold in chocolate chips. Bake on cookie sheet at 375º for 7 - 8 minutes.

Note: If they're brown on top in the oven, they're too done! A little brown around the edges will keep them moist.
