1½ cup flour
½ cup sugar
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
½ cup shortening (I've used butter)
½ cup peanut butter
¼ cup light corn syrup
1 T. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together dry ingredients. Cut in shortening and peanut butter until mixture resembles course meal. Blend in syrup and milk. Shape into 2 inch roll. Chill for 1 hour. Slice ¼ inch thick (or a little thinner). Place one slice on an ungreased cookie sheet. Spread with ½ tsp peanut butter. Cover with another cookie slice. Seal edges with fork. Bake at 350º for about 12 minutes. Cool on rack.
