For the Cookies:

6 cups flour
1-1½ cup crisco
1 lemon
8 eggs
1 cup sugar
12 tsp baking powder

For the Icing:

1 big tbsp margarine
½ small lemon
1¼ - 1⅓ box powdered sugar

For the Icing:

1. Melt margarine
2. Squeeze lemon juice into the margarine.
3. Mix in powdered sugar and slowly add milk until icing is smooth and not too thick

For the Cookies:

Preheat oven to 375º

1. Mins flour and crisco in a bowl until smooth consistency
2. Grate peel from 1 lemon and add to mixture. Mix well
3. Squeeze juice from 1 lemon and add to mixture. Mix well
4. Add sugar and baking soda and mix well
5. Slowly add eggs one at a time mixing well until dough is soft and stays together.
6. Using approx 1tbsp of dough at a time, roll into a log and then twist onto itself forming a spiral.
7. Bake for approximately 20 minutes or until light brown
8. While Cookies are still warm, dunk in icing and add sprinkles
