1¼ cups Vegetable Oil
2 cups Sugar
3 large Eggs
3 cups All-purpose Flour (sifted with soda & salt)
3 cups Apples (Gala apples work best)
1½ cups Walnuts (chopped)
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Peel & slice raw apples into 1 in. chunks.

Mix cake ingredients in following order: Oil, Sugar, Eggs, Sifted Flour, Salt & Soda, Apples, Walnuts, Vanilla.
Pour into greased BUNT PAN.

Bake @ 325˚F for 1hr 15min.

Let cool to room temp. Empty cake from pan onto serving plate.
 

Glaze
Ingredients:

1 cup Light Brown Sugar
¼ cup Evaporated Milk
1 stick Butter
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Directions:
Directions:
After cake has cooled, combine glaze ingredients in a sauce pan.
Cook on medium high heat, stirring constantly until sugar caramelizes. Keep just below a boil so sugar and butter don't separate.
Pour warm glaze over cake.
