1¼ c. butter
¾ c/ packed brown sugar
½ white sugar
1½ c. flour
1 t. cinnamon
3 c. oats
1 egg
1 t. vanilla
1 t. salt
1 t. baking soda
¼ t. nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375º. Beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda, salt, and spices; add to butter mixture, mixing well. Stir in oats. Drop by rounded T. onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 min. for chewy cookies; 10-11 min for a crisp cookie. Cool 1 min. on sheet before removing from pan.
