½ cup | shortening (or butter or margarine)
1 cup | sugar
1 tsp | vanilla extract
2 2/3 cup | sifted all purpose flour
1 tsp | baking powder
½ tsp | baking soda
½ tsp | nutmeg
½ tsp | nutmeg
½ cup | commercial sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, mix shortening, sugar, vanilla, egg thoroughly. Blend dry ingredients and add to sugar mixture alternately with sour cream. Refrigerate dough for several hours. Roll out portion of dough on a floured board. Cut with lightly floured cutter. Arrange cookies ½” apart on cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
