Ingredients:
1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/4 cup yellow or vanilla boxed cake mix
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature

1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup sprinkles

Directions:
Sift together flour, cake mix, and baking soda in a bowl and set aside. Using a hand or stand mixer, cream the butter and sugars together until smooth. Add the egg and vanilla and beat until combined. Add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix on low speed until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips and sprinkles until evenly distributed. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate dough for at least 2 hours. Once dough has chilled, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Roll into balls and place on cookie sheet, making the balls slightly taller than they are wide. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly browned. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 4 minutes and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
