1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
4 eggs
1 T. milk
3 c. flour
3 T baking soda
1/2 T clove
3/4 T cinnamon
3/4 T nutmeg
1/4 c whiskey or bourbon
1/2 lb candied pineapple
1/2 lb candied cherries
1/2 lb white raisins
1 1/2 lb pecan pieces

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
2. Cream together brown sugar and butter.
3. In separate bowl, beat together eggs and milk. Add to creamed ingredients.
4. Cut up candied pineapple, candied cherries and raisins into pieces.
5. In large bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, and spices.
6. Add whiskey, then add other wet ingredients.
7. Stir in candied fruits and nuts.
8. Drop onto lightly greased cookie sheets.
9. Bake for 25 minutes.
10. Remove from cookie sheets and cool. Store in covered tins.

This cookie recipe came from our next door neighbor when we lived in Creekstone Subdivision in Katy, TX. It makes a large amount but good for giving away!
