1 stick butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1½ chopped pecans
15 graham crackers

Directions:

1. Preheat oven 350 degrees
2. Arrange the graham crackers in a single layer on a baking sheet. Make sure crackers touch each other.
3. Heat the butter, sugar, in a sauce pan. over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Add vanilla.
4. Stir in pecan pieces.
5. Spread the mixture over the graham crackers.
6. Bake until mixture is absorbed.
7. Transfer crackers to cool on way paper. Once cooled, break crackers into bite sized pieces.

Each year Jai would request these cookies. Over the holidays she would eat them all by herself. Carine suggested a new name for the cookie, "the Sugar-betes Cookie"
