Half a cup of sour milk you can make the milk sour by adding one teaspoon of vinegar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup of Crisco shortening
1 cup of sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
2 dashes of nutmeg
1 cup of raisins
2 cups flour
2 cups old fashioned oat

Directions:
Directions:
In a small cup put sour milk and baking soda, Stir and set aside.
In another cup put raisins and some water microwave for 45 seconds set aside.
In a large mixing bowl place one cup shortening and sugar, cream together until smooth.
Add eggs mix well. Add milk and soda mixture, stir. Add cinnamon and Nutmeg stir.
Add one cup of flour and one cup of oatmeal stir until smooth.
Drain water from raisins then add raisins and stir.
Add second cup of flour and oats stir well. Those should be a little stiff.
If necessary add another 1/2 cup of oats.
Drop large teaspoonfuls onto a lightly oiled cookie sheets. Bake at 350 412 to 15 minutes done when cookie just starts to brown on the bottom edges
