2¼ C flour (2⅓)
¾ C sugar
¼ C baking powder
½ teas salt
! C shortening
2 eggs
1 teas vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
1. sift flour, sugar, baking powder & salt together in a bowl.

2. With a pastry blender or 2 knives, cut the shortening into the dry ingredients until the mixture is full of fine lumps. It will resemble pie crust...although not as course

3. Add the egg & vanilla extract & beat the mixture very well.

4. Put through the cookie press on ungreased cookie sheets.

5. Bake at 375ºF for 10-12 minutes.

6. Remove cookies from sheet at once
