1 ½ cups sugar
1 cup butter, softened
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 egg
½ tsp almond extract
1 tsp vanilla
½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
2 ½ cups flour
Frosting:
1/3 cup butter
2 TB milk
3 cups powdered sugar
1 ½ tsp vanilla
½ tsp almond extract (optional)
Food coloring, if desired
Sprinkles, if desired

Directions:
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl combine the butter, cream cheese, sugar, and egg and blend until nice and smooth. Add the vanilla and almond extract and beat for 1 minute longer. Add the flour, baking soda, baking powder. Beat for 2 more minutes. Spread the dough evenly into a jellyroll (13x18) pan. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely. Beat the butter and cream cheese until thoroughly combined and smooth. Add remaining ingredients and beat well for 4 minutes until fluffy. Frost (and decorate with sprinkles, if desired) cooled pan of cookies. Cut into bars.
