1 cup shortening/margarine (part butter or all butter)
2/3 cup sugar
1 egg—break with fork

Cream together

In separate bowl:
2 1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt

Add slowly to above mixture. Drop on cookie sheet in very small scoops.

Apricot Jam
Raspberry Jam

Bake 400 degrees for 4 minutes. Remove and push thimble into center. Drop raspberry or apricot jam in center and continue baking for another 5-6 minutes. These are not bigger than a nickel size.
