1 cup butter or margarine
2 eggs
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
4½ cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, oil, and both sugars. Add vanilla and eggs. Sift dry ingredients. Stir in sifted dry ingredients and blend. Roll a teaspoon of dough into a ball. Roll ball in granulated sugar. Press down on lightly greased cookie sheet with a glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 375º for 12 minutes.
