⅔ cup Crisco
2 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
6 T ice water, only

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour with salt, and cut in Crisco with a pastry cutter.

Add ice water, one tablespoon at a time.

When dough forms a ball, remove from bowl.
Great to use for chicken salad cups or chicken pot pie.
(This recipe make two pie crusts or 80 pastry cups.)

Mother was a wonderful pie maker; her favorites were chocolate, lemon, or sweet potato.

Often, when you came in the house there would be two meringue pies on the kitchen table.
Every fall Mother would host her WMU circle from church and serve her sweet potato pie.
That gathering also required a thorough house cleaning, including windows, and woodwork.
My how times have changed!
