1 cup butter or margarine
4 squares unsweetened chocolate
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
1 cup milk
1 ½ cups chopped walnuts or pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º F.
Melt together butter or margarine and unsweetened chocolate. Pour over brown sugar and mix well. Beat in eggs and vanilla.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder and baking soda.

Add approximately half the dry ingredients to the chocolate mixture and mix well, then add milk.

Blend milk into batter carefully to avoid splatters. Then mix in remaining dry ingredients. Stir in chopped walnuts or pecans

Drop well rounded spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400º F for 10-12 minutes. Frost with Haugen Fudge Frosting.
