German Chocolate cake mix
50 caramels
⅓ cup evaporated milk
¾ cup margarine or butter
⅓ cup evaporated milk
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. In a medium saucepan melt the caramels and ⅓ cup evaporated milk over low heat. Set aside. In a small saucepan melt the margarine with ⅓ cup evaporated milk. In a separate bowl, mix the cake mix with the melted margarine and milk. Add the chopped pecans. Place ½ of German Chocolate cake mixture in a greased 9 x 13 cake pan; spread out and press firmly. Bake for 6 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips over the cake. Then pour the caramel mixture over the chocolate chips. Crumble the remaining cake mixture on top. Return cake to oven. Bake 15 to 18 minutes. Caution: Do not overbake. Cool completely.
