Dough:

1 C Sugar
½ C Butter
½ C Milk
3 C Flour
2 tsp. Cream of Tartar
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 Egg

Filling:

1 C Raisins
1 C Sugar
½ C Chopped nuts
2 Tbsp. Flour
1 C Water

Dough:

Mix all ingredient together. Chill in refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

Filling:

In Medium sauce pan, cook all ingredients to a paste.

Roll out as if for sugar cookies. Cut with doughnut cutter. Put on greased sheet. Put spoonful of filling on half of the cookies. Top with another cookie and crimp.

Bake in preheated oven at 350 F for 15 minutes.

Cool 5 minutes on pan before removing.
