1 C SUGAR
1 EGG
JUICE AND GRATED RID OF 1 LEMON
2 ½ C FLOUR
½ TSP SODA
½ TSP CREAM OF TARTAR
¼ TSP SALT

375º OVEN

CREAM BUTTER AND SUGAR; ADD EGG AND LEMON JUICE AND RIND. SIFT FLOUR, SODA, CREAM OF TARTER AND SALT TOGETHER. COMBINE WITH BUTTER MIXTURE AND FORM INTO ROLLS 1 ½" IN DIAMETER. WRAP IN PLASTIC WRAP AND REFRIGERATE FOR 12 HOURS. SLICE ¼" THICK , PLACE ON BAKING SHEET 1" APART ADN BAKE AT 375º. REMOVE TO COOLING RACK.
