2 TBS cream (evaporated milk)
1 TBS grated orange rind (opt)

Directions:
Cream butter. Gradually add sugar; cream well. Blend in egg, cream, orange rind, baking powder, soda, salt and vanilla. Gradually add flour; mix well. Chill. Roll out 1/3 at a time (return rest to refrigerator) on floured surface to 1/8 inch thickness. (Don't be afraid to use flour on your hands and on the flat surface and your rolling pin.) Cut into desired shapes. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 400º for 5-7 minutes (just lightly brown)

Icing

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Powdered Sugar
Evaporated Milk
Food coloring
Vanilla (preferred pure Mexican vanilla)

Directions:
Directions:
I have no real icing recipe, I usually take our four cereal bowls and fill each about half with powdered sugar. To this I add evaporated milk, food coloring and vanilla. (the white vanilla keeps your color higher, and the Wilton paste food coloring makes nice colors.) Make icing a nice spreading consistency.
