½ c. butter - room temp
6 tbsp. vegetable oil
½ c. + 2 tbsp. sugar
6 tbsp. powdered sugar
1 tbsp. water
1 egg
¼ tsp. baking soda
¼ tsp. cream of tarter
½ tsp. salt
2 ¾ c. flour

Extra 1/4 c. sugar for flattening cookie dough

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, cream together butter, vegetable oil, sugar, powdered sugar, water, and egg.
2. In a small bowl, mix baking soda, cream of tarter, salt, and flour.
3. Slowly add dry ingredients to butter mixture.
4. Form golf ball size circles.
5. Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
6. Squish one of the balls with a glass to get it greasy.
7. Put about 1/4 c. of sugar ib a okate, Dip the glass into the sugar - be sure the bottom is covered.
8. Push down all cookie dough balls and twist slightly so edges are rough with a small lip.
9. Bake at 350º F. for 8-9 minutes. Cookies should be a very light brown color.
10. Remove cookies from pan and place on a cooling rack. When totally cool, put in fridge for a few hours before frosting. Serve cold.

1/4 c. butter (melted slightly)
1 tbsp. sour cream
2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 drop food coloring (if desired)
milk to make thinner if needed
dash of salt (optional, but REALLY good)

Mix all frosting ingredients together. Frost on cold cookies.
