Sift together:
2½ cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt, cinnamon and nutmeg
1 tsp ginger.

Cream:
1 cup white sugar
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup shortening

Blend in:
2 eggs
1½ cups pumpkin
1 tsp lemon extract

Add dry ingredients and stir in 1 cup chopped raisins and 1 cupped chopped pecans or walnuts

Drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 12-15 minutes...frost while still warm

Lemon Glaze frosting:

Mix together until smooth:
2 Tbsp soft butter
2 cups powdered sugar
2 Tbsp lemon juice
1-2 tsp milk
