1 cup butter
1 1/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
6 tblsp. molasses
2 cups flour
1 tblsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. all spice
1/2 tsp. ginger
2 cups oatmeal, any style
1 cup coconut
1/2 -3/4 cup raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and molasses. Stir dry ingredients together then add to creamed mixture. Stir in oatmeal, raisins and coconut. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased or parchment-covered cookie sheet. Leave 2 inches of space between cookies; they spread!
Bale 325º for 15-18 minutes until cookies are flat, golden and hold hold shape when touched. May have to let cool on pan a few minutes before transferring to cooling rack.

Grampa Walt loved these cookies and would very stealthily snitch them when Mom (Lori) was out of the kitchen, claiming he didn't know what had happened to the batch when it disappeared much sooner than the baker anticipated!
