3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 cup melted butter
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 large eggs, beaten
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup white chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 375º.

2. In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. In a large bowl, beat the butter, white sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until creamy. Add beaten eggs to the batter. Continue mixing.

3. Gradually stir the flour mixture into the batter, mixing slowly. Blend in chocolate chips. Add nuts if desired.

4. Scoop dough into a tablespoon. Drop dough onto an ungreased baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie. Bake 13 to 15 minutes. Let stand for 3 to 4 minutes.

*Recipe makes about 4 dozen cookies.
