1 C butter
1 C granulated sugar
1 C powdered sugar
1 C vegetable oil
2 eggs (room temp)
1 1/4 tsp vanilla
4 1/4 C flour
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
Granulated sugar for rolling and pressing dough

Directions:

Preheat oven 350 degrees - spray 2 cookies sheets with oil spray

1. Cream sugars and butter until fluffy
2. Blend in eggs, vanilla and oil
3. Stir in dry ingredients togeter and blend into wet mixture
4 roll dough into walnutk-size balls, roin in sugar, and place on cookie sheet
5. Dip the bottom of a glass into graulated sugar and press each dough ball flat.
6 Bake for 12 - 15 minutes

Hints;
1 Chilling dough a few hours will make the rolling easier
2. You can add food coloring to the sugar that you dip the glass into for flattening the cookies
for holiday colors.
