1½ c flour
1 c brown sugar (lightly packed)
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
¾ c butter or margarine
1½ c rolled oats
1¼ c raspberry jam
½ c sliced almonds

Directions:
Directions:
In bowl, stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt; cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Stir in oats.
Press two-thirds of the mixture firmly into a a greased 13" x 9" cake pan; spread evenly with jam. Stir almonds into remaining crumb mixture; sprinkle evenly over ham, patting down lightly.
Bake at 375ºF until golden (30-35min). Let cook and cut into squares.

Yield: 4 dozen squares

I made these squares in university all the time using whatever jam I had on hand. I usually omit the almonds. These squares are great with tea!
