1 c.butter
1 1/2 c.Powdered sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond extract (I do a little more)
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp cream tartar

Directions:

Mix in order
May have to add a little more flour to batter.
Chill at least 2-3 hours in the refrg.
On a lightly floured surface roll to 3/16 thick. Cut cookies to desire shapes and bake
I place my cookies on parchment paper on the cookie sheets.
Bake at 375 degrees for 7-8 min.


Sugar cookie frosting:
Beat: 1 lb. powdered sugar
1/3 c.soft butter
1/4 c.milk or water(I use milk)
1-2 tsp. almond flavoring
Mix together and if too thick add a little more milk till desired spreading.
Can add food color and sprinkles.
