3 c. All-Purpose Flour

1 1/2 t. Baking Powder

1 1/2 t. Baking Soda

1 t. Salt

1 c. Unsalted Butter

1 1/2 c. Firmly Packed Brown Sugar

1/2 c. Granulated Sugar

2 Eggs

2 t. Vanilla Extract

11.5 oz. Dark Chocolate Chunks

1 c. Chopped Pecans

Large Flakes of Sea Salt (such as Maldon)

1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Remove from the heat and whisk in the sugars. Add the eggs and vanilla, and stir to combine. Set aside to cool for 5 minutes. Pour into the flour mixture and stir using a wooden spoon until combined. Fold in the chocolate and pecans.

3. Cover with a clean dish towel and refrigerate overnight.

4. Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop out 1 1/2" balls of dough and roll them between your palms. Place on the baking sheet, spacing them 3" apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until light golden brown. Repeat with the remaining cookie dough.

5. Top each cookie with a pinch of the salt flakes.
