About 1/2 potato for each person
1 can mushroom soup
1 cup milk
salt and pepper to taste
Garnish with shredded cheese

Peel and slice potatoes. Boil potatoes in pan with cold water and 1 teaspoon of salt. Let boil 5 minutes. Drain potatoes. Butter a casserole and layer 1/2 of the potatoes.

To the mushroom soup add milk and heat until soup and milk blend. Pour 1/2 over potatoes, add the rest of the potatoes and pour the rest of the sauce. Season with salt and pepper. The liquid should come almost to the top of the potatoes, if not, add more milk. Garnish the top with cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees until bubbling, about 30 minutes.
