1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup milk
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp ginger
1 cup raisins
1 1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening with sugar. Add milk and cream. Sift flour with salt and baking soda and add to a separate bowl. Add in spices and mix well. Add to shortening mixture and blend well. Add oats, raisins and nuts and mix well. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased pan and bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) for 15 minutes.
