Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is my grandmother Fay Brintle Hayes' recipe. She grew up in a Quaker family in North Carolina and moved to Baltimore in the early 1950s when my grandfather became pastor of Fulton Avenue Baptist Church. During the 17 years my grandfather was a minister, my grandmother witnessed significant social change in Baltimore and the nation. I associate my grandmother with the mission and members of the Junior League of Baltimore. Whether it was her church activities, or in her career as an RN, she never stopped learning and finding ways to offer her considerable skills to her community.
