1 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups (12oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:

Preheat Oven to 375º

Cream butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, beat well.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt, gradually add to creamed mixture. Beat well.
Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.

Drop by spoonful into ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake for 8-10 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from cookie sheets.
