1 lb. butter
1 lb. brown sugar
3 eggs
3 T. milk
4 C. flour (reserve 1 cup to dredge fruit)
1 tsp. baking soda
1 lb. white raisins (steamed)
1 lb. chopped walnuts
1 lb. candied pineapple, diced
1 can flaked coconut (about 1 1/3 cups)
1/2 lb. red candied cherries, diced
1/2 lb. green candied cherries, diced

Directions:

1-Sift flour and measure 3 cups of flour, add baking soda and sift together again.

2-Combine cut fruit, coconut and nuts and dredge with 1 cup of sifted flour.

3-Cream butter. Gradually add sugar and cream together until light and fluffy.

4-Add eggs, one at a time. Beat thoroughly after each addition.

5-Add fruit and nuts, mix thoroughly.

6-Add flour alternately with milk, a small amount at a time.

7-Drop from teaspoonfuls on lightly greased baking sheet.

8-Bake at 375* for about 10 minutes.

9-Let cool before taking off baking sheet.

Note-To steam raisins wash and place in a colander. Place over boiling water. Cover and let steam for 5 minutes.
