3 eggs well beaten
1 cup raisins ( or cranberries)
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp baking soda
2 cups oatmeal
3/4 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugars. Blend in eggs, raisins, and vanilla. Add salt, flour, cinnamon, and soda to sugar mixture; mix well. Stir in oatmeal and nuts. Dough will be stiff. Drop onto ungreased baking sheets or roll into small balls and flatten slightly. Bake at 350º for 10 - 12 minutes or until slightly browned.

Note: Lucille put raisins into the beaten eggs to soften them.
