1 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup whipped topping
1 cup sour cream
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
4 1/4 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, shortening, whipped topping, sour cream. Add egg and vanilla. Set aside. In a separate bowl, mix dry ingredients and add slowly to soft ingredients. Sprinkle powdered sugar on rolling surface and roll dough out. Cut into shapes and bake at 375* for about 9 minutes. (Don't let get too dark - they may not look all the way done, but they usually are. You want them to stay soft though)

Cream Cheese Frosting:
1 (8 ounce) pkg cream cheese
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
About 1/2 pkg. of powdered sugar
Food coloring (if desired)
Soften butter and cream cheese. Add all the ingredients together, except powdered sugar and mix on high with beaters. Add powdered sugar until it is the consistency you would like. Enjoy!
