2 cups sugar
1 cup melted butter
4 eggs
1 tsp baking soda
5 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Add melted butter to sugar in mixing bowl. Mix well. Add eggs and baking soda to sugar mixture and blend. Add flour one cup at a time and mix well. Dough should be tacky, not dry.

Divide into 2 or 3 sections and wrap in plastic wrap and store in freezer. (Will keep in freezer for up to 6 months.) When ready to roll your cookies, take one section at a time from the freezer. Flour your board generously and roll cold dough (let dough defrost so that it is chilled not frozen) to approximately 1/8 in. thickness. You will have to turn dough from side to side in order to roll evenly. Cut cookies and place on cookie sheet. Repeat the process.

Sugar cookies and bake at 365º for about 4 minutes. Remove from tray immediately and let cool on cloth covered countertop.

Personal Notes:
This is my mother's recipe. Keeping the dough chilled and working in small pieces will give the most success.
