3/4 cups shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg
4 Tablespoons Molasses
2 cups flour mixed with 2 teaspoons of baking soda
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 tsp powdered cloves
1 1/2 teaspoons ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening together
add cinnamon, cloves, and ginger
mix in eggs and molasses
mix in flour until you have a stiff dough
Refrigerate 1 hour
Roll dough into walnut size balls . roll balls in granulated sugar and place about 1 inch apart on parchment covered baking tray.
Bake at 350º for 15 minutes.
