2 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt (optional)
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 cup margarine (butter tastes even better)
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups rolled oats (regular cooking oats)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 package semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°
Sift dry ingredients. Blend margarine (or butter) and sugar. Add eggs and beat 'til light and fluffy. Add flour mix and mix well. Add remaining ingredients.

Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 10-15 minutes at 350°. Larger cookies will take longer to bake. Check cookies while they are baking.

Serves: 10-12 Prep time: 1 hour or more
Cook time: 10-15 minutes depend upon size of cookie batter
