3 cups flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 T milk
powdered sugar for rolling out dough

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside. Beat butter and sugar until light in color. Add egg and milk and continue to beat. Beat in dry ingredients on low until mixture pulls away from side of bowl. Divide dough in half, wrap and chill for 2 hours. Preheat oven to 350º. Sprinkle surface with powdered sugar. Roll out doug one at a time leaving remaining dough packet in fridge. Sprinkle rolling pin with powdered sugar and roll out to 1/4 inch thick. Cut into desired shapes. Place at least 1 inch apart on parchment lined cookie sheet and bake 7-9 minutes, rotating cookie sheet halfway through. Let sit on baking sheet 2 minutes before removing to cooling rack. Can ice or leave un-iced.
